PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an omission of a dye film at the edge of a dye film area. SOLUTION: A method of producing a patterned film forming member includes: a divided part formation step of forming a divided part for dividing a patterned film area on a base material; an application step of applying a liquid material becoming a material of a patterned film to the patterned film area; and a drying step of drying the applied liquid material to form the patterned film. At the divided part formation step, the divided part is made to have a fluidization promotion part for promoting the fluidization of the liquid material applied to the patterned film area to the edges of the patterned film area.
