<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of an image capturing apparatus capable of providing information on a zoom range for an electronic zoom in an optical finder with a simple configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus has the optical finder that enables an electronic zoom and guides an object light image passing through a photographing lens to a finder window 10 via a light-transmitting SI screen on which a target mark Gv comprising linear marks Mb1-8, and the like is shown. In the image capturing apparatus, when the electronic zoom is set in the use of the optical finder, light is projected to the six marks Mb1-6 selected from the target mark Gv, thus expressing a region surrounded by the six marks Mb1-6 as the zoom region of the electronic zoom in the finder window 10, thereby providing information on the zoom range for the electronic zoom in the optical finder with a simple configuration.
