<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic publishing system and an electronic publishing device by which the user of a portable terminal can quickly read an electronic book with the interest when the user wants to read the electronic book immediately. <P>SOLUTION: In this electronic publishing system in which a writer terminal, an electronic publishing device, and a portable terminal are connected through a network, the electronic publishing device is provided with: a storage means; a book manufacturing means which receives a character string from the writer terminal, and stores this received character string in the storage means; a settlement means which receives a settlement request from the portable terminal, and executes prescribed settlement processing, and transmits reader ID to the portable terminal; and an electronic issuing means which receives the reader ID from the portable terminal which has transmitted the reader ID by the settlement means, and reads the prescribed number of character strings from all the character strings stored in the storage means by the book manufacturing means, and transmits those character strings to the portable terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
