A device registration method comprises: a step of performing a signal recognition process for every execution of the signal recognition process; a step of determining whether a signal is received from a media play device; a step of transmitting user terminal information to a device registration server, when the signal is received; and a step of terminating the signal recognition process. The present invention provides a device registration method capable of automatically registering a device without a burdensome process of including QR code recognition, registration code input, and so forth.
