PURPOSE: A detachable display device and a control method thereof are provided to effectively control power of devices by controlling power of one device. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting unit(50) transmits broadcasting data. A receiving unit(40) displays the received broadcasting data after receiving the transmitted broadcasting data. The receiving unit transmits power state information based on a command inputted from the outside to the transmitting unit. The transmitting unit selectively enters the first power saving mode or the second power saving mode based on the power state information transmitted from the transmitting unit. |
