PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system that is adapted to have no discomfort between operability of a zoom lens and zoom position information to be output from a lens device when controlling so as to make an angle-of-view change rate constant at a time of a zoom velocity instruction remaining the same.SOLUTION: A lens device includes: zooming means that is driven for zooming; drive means that drives the zooming means; detection means that detects a position of the zooming means; storage means that stores a relationship between the position and an angle of view; derivation means that derives a velocity instruction in which a change in angle-of-view change rate is smaller than a change in angle-of-view change rate when driving the zooming means at a fixed velocity in an entire area of a movable range of the zooming means and for causing the zooming means to drive; and correction means that detects, by the detection means, the position of the zooming means driven on the basis of the velocity instruction derived from the detection means, and outputs data smaller in a change in change rate of the position of the zooming means than a change in change rate of the position thereof detected by the detection means on the basis of the detected position thereof and the relationship stored in the storage means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
