Embodiments described herein relate generally to methods for the remediation or recycling of electrochemical cell electrodes, especially binderless semi-solid electrodes. The method includes obtaining an electrode material (110), rinsing at least a portion of the electrode material to remove a residue therefrom (130) and separating the electrode material into constituents for reuse (150).
