A closure assembly for fitting to an open ended drinking vessel (12) comprising a lid (14) with a drinking spout (22) extending there from through which a user can fluid can flow when a user sucks on the spout (22). The closure assembly comprises a valve body (28) of resiliently flexible material having a chamber (32) which is formed from at least part of the valve body (28) and defining on one side a flexible portion (30) in abutment with the sealing portion (34) of a dispensing passage (26) to make a fluid tight seal and to keep the passageway (26) closed except when a pressure differential is applied across the ends of the passageway (26) to cause the flexing portion (30) to flex to allow fluid to flow through the passageway (26). |
