PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader for a special prize, a prize exchange counter, and an exchange method for the special prize effective in the improvement of processing efficiency and reliability and the prevention of fraudulency in a system or the like for liquidating the special prize used in a game hall. SOLUTION: This reader for the special prize is provided with an antenna, a computing part, a storage part and an output part. The antenna transmits and receives data including the peculiar identification data of the special prize, to and from the special prize having an IC chip which stores prescribed data, and an antenna connected to the IC chip, through the antenna. The computing part computes the amount of liquidation of the special prize from the received peculiar identification data. The storage part stores data including the received peculiar identification data of the special prize. The output part outputs the data from the computing part. The prize exchange counter is provided with the reader and a moving means for delivering the special prize. |
