PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive recording medium which has a photothermal conversion layer hardly susceptible to deterioration, even when left alone at a light-exposed place and exhibiting superior light resistance and a long use life. SOLUTION: This photosensitive recording medium is equipped with a base 1, a thermal recording layer 2 formed on the base 1 and the photothermal conversion layer 3 formed on the thermal recording layer 2. The photothermal conversion layer 3 is a vapor-deposited film with a thickness of 40 to 400 Å, formed of CuS or a vapor-deposited film with a thickness of 20 to 150 Å, formed of In2 O3 . The base 1 is a paper or plastic sheet and a protecting layer 4 is formed on the photothermal conversion layer 3. The thermal recording layer 2 is formed of a reversible thermal recording material containing a normally colorless or pale-colored electron-donative dye precursor and an electron- receptive compound which causes a reversible color tone change in the dye precursor by heat. |
