PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a technique for sequentially projecting a plurality of pattern light beams to an object, in an apparatus for three-dimensionally inputting the object, by selectively converting incident light from a light source into a plurality of pattern light beams and sequentially projecting the plurality of pattern light beams to the object. SOLUTION: A plurality of frames are selectively positioned in an irradiation region 228 of the incident light by feeding an array of the plurality of frames, a sheet-like mask 200 extended in a longitudinal direction in a longitudinal direction for sequentially projecting the plurality of pattern light beams to the object. Each frame of the mask is provided with a through hole passing through the mask for generating the pattern light corresponding to each frame. The mask can be bent in a plane in parallel with both its longitudinal direction and its thickness direction. A part of the mask not positioned to the irradiation region 228 is bent at least at one location by bending devices 220 and 226. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
