PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a mushroom cultivation fungus bed comprising using compost consisting mainly of bamboo so as to remarkably promote growth of edible or medicinal mushroom fungi, and aiming at waste disposal of bamboo shreds and effective utilization thereof. SOLUTION: The method for producing a mushroom cultivation fungus bed comprises the following process: mixing useful microorganisms containing at least one selected from Actinomycetes, photosynthesis bacteria, flamentous fungi, lactobacillus, yeast and Aspergillus oryzae to compost raw material consisting mainly of both or either of the bamboo shreds and/or bamboo; adding at least one selected from fermentation promoting auxiliaries, moisture regulator and nutritional supplement for microorganisms to the compost raw material consisting mainly of both or either of the bamboo shreds and/or bamboo as necessary, mixedly stirring the mixture to ferment the stirred one; and admixing wood chips into the fermented mixture to produce the mushroom cultivation fungus bed containing growth-promoting substance falling in the bamboo shreds and/or young bamboo so as to be effective on mushroom growth promotion.
