A base station antenna of a passive keyless entry system for a vehicle is provided to operate stably the base station antenna by minimizing influence of wiring arrangement in a vehicle. A base station antenna(1) of a passive keyless entry system for a vehicle includes an antenna driver circuit(10), transformer driver switching elements(20a,20b), a transformer(30), and an antenna(40). The antenna driver circuit generates pulses in the frequency corresponding to the resonance frequency of a transponder. The transformer driver switching elements are connected to the antenna driver circuit, and turned on/off by the pulses generated from the antenna driver circuit. The transformer is connected to the transformer driver switching elements, and generates voltages in accordance with the applied current. The antenna is connected to the transformer, and transmits energy and signals to the transponder by the applied voltage.
