An automatic transmission is provided to reduce negative pressure and pressure drop in an oil filter by forming a space in a filter medium positioned under an oil filter. An upper body(10) is provided at an outer end thereof with an outlet port(11) for supplying oil into a module of an automatic transmission. A lower body(20) is engaged to the upper body, and is provided with an inlet port(21) for sucking the oil. A filter medium(30) is installed in the upper body and the lower body to filter alien substance in oil. The filter medium forms a spacial portion(35) between an upper plate(33) and a lower plate(34) to prevent pressure drop at initial operation.
