PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home electric appliance which reduces increase in cost and assures to prevent faulty attachment. SOLUTION: The home electric appliance includes an outer packaging body having a chassis 13 and a bottom body 29, an appliance plug 38 which is attached to the bottom body 29 and has connection terminals 42A, 42B and 43 protruding laterally at the position biased to one of the longitudinal directions, and a component (substrate holder 51) which is attached within the outer packaging body and consists of nonconductive materials having the fire retardance. To the fire retardant component, a reverse attachment prevention strip 62 is attached in a protrudent state which interferes with the connection terminal 43 under the faulty attachment condition where the appliance plug 38 is inserted into the bottom body 29 reversely in the longitudinal direction, and never interferes with the connection terminal 43 under the normal attachment condition.
