<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily assembling a radial needle bearing using a split type cage 7a, and to provide a spare cage to be used for execution of this method. <P>SOLUTION: As a cage 7b, a split type holder formed by arranging a plurality of cage elements 17a and 17b, which are respectively formed into a partially cylindrical shape, so as to abut on each other or come close to each other in both edges in the circumferential direction is used. As a figure (A) shows, a spare cage 19, which is formed by connecting the cage elements 17a and 17b to each other through small cross section parts 20 and 20 in the axial direction in the state of displacing the cage elements 17a and 17b in the axial direction, is arranged with each needle between an outer ring raceway 4 and an inner ring raceway 5. Thereafter, as a figure (B) shows, the spare cage 19 is pushed in the axial direction so as to tear the small cross section parts 20 and 20 so as to separate the cage elements 17a and 17b as an independent cage element, and phases of the cage elements 17a and 17b in the axial direction are made to correspond to each other so as to structure the cage 7b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
