<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit and a program rewriting method, which can update a program without mounting a buffer memory. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic control unit 100 includes a nonvolatile memory 400 storing the first program 11a; a cache memory 17 serving as a readout object by a CPU for the first program with priority to the nonvolatile memory; and a reception means 14 for receiving the second program 11b to be stored in the nonvolatile memory 400 from an outside, in stead of the first program, and the electronic control unit 100 includes further switching means 31, 34, 45 for switching one part or the whole of the cache memory 17 to a buffer memory for storing temporarily the second program 11b, before writing the second program 11b into the nonvolatile memory 400, when rewriting the first program 11a to the second program 11b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
