PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism for producing putrescine and a method for producing putrescine using the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a microorganism that is given the ability to produce putrescine by blocking the biosynthetic pathway from ornithine to arginine, increasing the intracellular level of glutamate, enhancing the activity of the biosynthetic pathway for producing ornithine from glutamate, and introducing an ornithine decarboxylase from the outside.
