摘要 The polystyrene plastic-based antineutrino detector according to the present invention consists of at least two layers (8) placed on each other and composed of at least two rectangular segments (7) of polystyrene plastic scintillators (1) containing 1.5 to 2.5 percent by weight 1,4-diphenylbenzene, 0.05 percent by weight 5-phenyl-2-[4-(5-phenyl-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)phenyl]-1,3-oxazole and the balance to 100 percent by weight being polystyrene, provided on one side with parallel grooves (5) with optical fibers (6), containing fluorescent additive, situated therein, wherein longitudinal axes of their joining, formed by the length (y) of two adjacent segment (9) layers (8) are perpendicular to each other, wherein the ratio of the height (z) of the rectangular segment (7) to the width (x) thereof is at least 1:10, the ratio of the height (z) of the rectangular segment (7) to the length (y) thereof is at least 1:10 and the surface of the individual segments (7) is provided with a polymeric sheet (2) of high photon reflectivity at least 95 percent. Further, each segment (7) or the segment (7) layer (8) is provided with a cellulose coat layer (3) containing gadolinium chloride in concentration in the range of 0.15 to 1.5 kg GdCli3 per 1 kg of cellulose, wherein the optical fibers (6) are routed from the scintillator (1) rear wall (1.2) in the grooves (5) and exit through the front wall (1.1) via the polymeric sheet (2), through the coat layer (3) for connecting to photosensitive elements.
