The modular system comprises multiple building blocks (1.1) that are modularly composed and made of plastic, particularly polyethylene terephthalate, polyphenylene sulfide or polybutylene terephthalate. The building blocks are provided with a connection element for mutual fixing at the upper side (2a) or at the lower side (2b). The connection element of the building block is designed as portion of a positive connection in shape of a longitudinal recess or a longitudinal projection.
