PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treating material making a floc of pollutant matters flocculated in wastewater to be an aggregate, and capable of efficiently dehydrating the aggregate taken out of the wastewater without using a special apparatus.SOLUTION: The wastewater treating material includes: a flocculant for flocculating the pollutant matters in the wastewater; and a network structure which has voids inside, includes a communication channel communicating voids with outside, and has at least a hydrophobicity-imparted surface including a void-forming surface and the surface forming the communicating channel. The wastewater treating material is composed so that the floc of the pollutant matters flocculated by the action of the flocculant included in the material is supported by network structure also included in the material and thereby, the aggregate having high-physical strength floc is formed. Further, the wastewater treating material is composed so that the moisture included in the aggregate separated from the wastewater is quickly discharged. |
