PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an engine without causing any shock when there is an engine start request during motor creep cut.SOLUTION: In a vehicle comprising an engine and a motor generator connected to driving wheels, an ECU performs motor creep cut reducing torque of the motor generator when prescribed conditions are met during a motor creep mode for generating creep torque by the motor generator. The ECU increases the torque of the motor generator to target creep torque with a predetermined increase rate and starts an engine 10 after MG torque attains the target creep torque when there is an engine start request during the motor creep cut. The predetermined increase rate is set to be less than an increase rate of engine torque at the time of engine start.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
