PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool capable of suppressing compact a work space for removing a jacket gripping member from a housing for anchoring in an optical connector having a latch structure for locking the jacket gripping member to the housing for anchoring.SOLUTION: A jacket gripping member removal tool 1 is configured to remove a jacket gripping member 20 from a housing 41 for anchoring in which the jacket gripping member 20 fixed to a terminal of the optical fiber cable 70 is accommodated. The housing 41 for anchoring includes a pair of side plate parts 43b and 43b. In each of the side plate parts 43b and 43b, a latch 48 including a lock part that can be locked to a lock receiving part of the jacket gripping member 20 is formed. The removal tool 1 comprises a base part 2 and a pair of release operation parts 3 and 3 extending from the base part 2. The release operation parts 3 and 3 are inserted into the housing 41 for anchoring, such that the lock is released by pressing the latch 48 and displacing it to an external side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
