PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coke, in a method using molding coal, improved in coke strength using coal subjected to advance rapid heating treatment for largely blending deteriorated coal, and further, requiring no equipment modification for carrying high temperature coal.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing coke using heating-and-cooling-treated coal subjected to heating-and-cooling treatment in such a manner that a part of blended coal used for the production of coke and a binder are mixed and molded into a molded coal, the other blended coal and the molding coal are mixed into a charge coal, and the charge coal is charged to a coke furnace and is carbonized, a part or the whole of at least either blending coal in the blending coal to form into a molded coal and the other blending coal to be mixed with the molded coal, heating is performed at 250 to 350°C at a temperature rising rate of 40 to 1,000°C, and thereafter, cooling is performed from the heating treatment finishing temperature to at least 100°C at the average cooling rate of 10°C/min or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
