PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to generate a 3D face model of a human rapidly without specific photographing equipment such as a laser scanner. CONSTITUTION: A first processing unit(110) synthesizes a face region extracted from an input color image with a template texture. The first processing unit generates a first texture, and a second processing unit(120) matches a template mesh model corresponding to the template texture to a depth image corresponding to the input color image. The second processing unit generates a first mesh model, and a 3D model generating unit(130) generates a 3D facial model based on the first texture and the first mesh model. |
