PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve separately carrying performance of a paper sheet by forming both end angle parts in the width direction making a right angle with the feed direction on the upper face of a friction member into curved faces. SOLUTION: Both end angle parts in the width W direction of a friction member 6b, i.e., both shoulder parts are respectively formed into curved faces 6b1, 6b2, or gentle slopes. Hereby, because a thin paper sheet is smoothly deformed along each curved face 6b1, 6b2, contact pressure of the paper sheet with both shoulder parts and paper feed resistance can be reduced, the paper sheet can be smoothly fed. Cutting burr or the like of the paper sheet can be dissolved to be caught with burr of both the shoulder parts. Further the inside territory 22 of both shoulder parts on the upper face of the friction member 6b is formed into a satin finished shape. Hereby, frictional coefficient of the friction member 6b required for separation of the paper sheet is appropriately regulated, and separation performance of the paper sheet can be improved.
