PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a speed for filling ink to a pressure generation chamber after ink drops are discharged. SOLUTION: A passage formation substrate 5 includes a reservoir 8, a first, a second pressure generation chambers 9, 10 of recessed parts formed at the side of a pressure generation means and at the side of a nozzle plate, and a first, a second ink feed ports 11, 12 connecting the pressure generation chambers with the reservoir 8. The second ink feed port 12 is positioned closer to a nozzle opening 6 than the first ink feed port 11, so that the ink can be sent to the first pressure generation chamber 9 also through the second ink feed port 12 which has a small channel resistance after ink drops are discharged.
