PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly determine a precise parting line. SOLUTION: A plane projection means 2 projects the edges of a product shape expressed in a three-dimensional graphic data 1 in the vertical plane with respect to the mold opening direction, so as to obtain plane projection data 3. A parting line determination means 4 subsequently determines as parting lines possible edges having the largest internal angle in the contact point with a definite parting line on the plane projection data, out of the possible edges adjacent to the definite parting line which is already determined as the parting line. This determines parting lines 1a of a mold for molding the product shape expressed in the three-dimensional graphic data 1.
