PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of restricting lowering of voltage of a fuel cell due to a rise delay in supply of cathode gas by using a method different from a conventional one.SOLUTION: This fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell for generating power by supplying anode gas to an anode electrode catalyst layer and supplying cathode gas to a cathode electrode catalyst layer; a cathode gas supply means for supplying the cathode gas to the fuel cell; a cathode gas supply passage communicating the fuel cell with the cathode gas supply means; and a control means which estimates the time (T) till the cathode gas reaches the cathode electrode catalyst layer of the fuel cell from the cathode gas supply means when starting the fuel cell and which delays the timing of taking power from the fuel cell by, at least, the estimated time (T). |
