The invention relates to a device for producing filling material for packing purposes out of a paper web (1) which is drawn off a paper supply (2) and guided into a crumpling device (11). A paper-inflecting and guiding plate (5) is arranged in connection with the paper supply in the moving direction of the paper web (1). Said plate tapers off in the moving direction and comprises a curved guiding surface. A feeding device comprising a circularly driven transport belt (6) which is guided and driven by means of rollers (7, 8, 9) is provided at the front end of the curved guiding surface and is used to insert the front end of a paper web (1). A feed opening (4) into which the front end of the paper web (1) can be inserted is embodied between one of said rollers (7) and the curved guiding surface. |
