PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for instant food that is capable of preventing excessive opening of the lid adhered to the flange of a container body when the lid is peeled off, at the time of pouring in hot water or pouring out the hot water. SOLUTION: It is so arranged that part of a flange 6 in the circumferential direction of a container body 1 is formed into a flange 6a whose width is made wider than that of other part of the continuous flange thereof, and the tack power between this wider width flange 6a and the lid 2 is made greater than that between a narrower width flange 6b and the lid 2.
