The invention relates to a rotary internal combustion engine comprising a triple-arced tubular piston (1) and a sextuple-arced motion-transfer pinion (6). According to the invention, the rotary internal combustion engine is characterised in that it has four simultaneous strokes with a full cycle taking place over one-sixth of a rotation. The invention is based on a specific combination of six main parts for the construction thereof, comprising: a fixed double-arced core (2); a triple-arced tubular piston (1) which rotates around the aforementioned core (2), around two centres (R1 and R2), inside a double-arced chamber (3) which is sealed by two chamber covers (4 and 5); and a sextuple-arced pinion with external toothing (6), which is fitted to one of the ends of the tubular piston. The energy from the assembly is delivered using standard parts, in particular, two drive pinions (7 and 8) which mesh with the sextuple-arced pinion (6) and transmit the energy to a common shaft by means of two free wheels. The aforementioned combination provides high efficiency and enables slow rotation with a heavy load. The inventive engine does not use cams or valves. All of the movements thereof are rotary movements and the direction of rotation does not change. In addition, the invention can be used to develop a second engine comprising a three-lobe rotating chamber
