<p>New bridged 3,4-dioxythiophene derivatives (I) are thieno[3,4-b]dibenzo[e,g][1,4]dioxocane compounds, compounds with a larger dioxo-ring and compounds with other aromatic ring systems condensed on the phenyl rings; and compounds bridged by (poly)alkylene(oxy)-phenylene or -naphthylene-(poly)(oxy)alkylene groups. New bridged 3,4-dioxythiophene derivatives (I) are: (a) thieno[3,4-b]dibenzo[e,g][1,4]dioxocane compounds, compounds with a larger dioxo-ring and compounds with other aromatic ring systems condensed on the phenyl rings; and (b) compounds bridged by (poly)alkylene(oxy)-phenylene or -naphthylene-(poly)(oxy)alkylene groups of formula (I); [Image] A, B, C, D together : (a) a unit of formula (IV) or (b) -((CH 2) v-X-) y-Ar-(X-(CH 2) w) z-; t, u : 0-5; X : a bond or O; Ar : optionally substituted phenylene or naphthylene; v, w : 1-5; y, z : 1-10 [Image] An independent claim is also included for preparation of compounds (I) with a wider range of substituents.</p> |
