PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent thermal recording medium which shows excellent stability to curling balance, to curling produced by a low humidity environment in particular, and which suppresses the occurrence of an interference fringe by light.SOLUTION: On one surface of a transparent support, a thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent and a protective layer are successively provided and on another surface, a back layer including essentially an adhesive is provided to form the transparent thermal recording medium. The back layer contains, as the adhesive, a resin obtained by copolymerization of monomer components comprising (meth)acrylamide and an unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with the (meth)acrylamide and metal oxide fine particles of 5 to 100 nm average particle size and an average refractive index of the back layer is in a range of (an average refractive index of the transparent support)±0.02. |
