PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the resourceful environment of playing and intellectual training for a child by providing a picture book which enables the child to enjoy the activity of matching pictures with each sheet of the book formed out of a wood board. SOLUTION: This picture book has more than two laminated plates. Each of the laminated plates has a pattern board applied on a core plate and a picture board is punched through to make one or a plurality of recesses. The punched pieces out of the pattern board are used as matching board pieces as intact or further cut into a plurality of pieces to make matching board pieces. The pattern board is so arranged as to express a picture pattern totally organized and containing the matching board pieces placed thereinto. Thus prepared laminated plates are linked up to make a book in which adjacent sheets are made foldable to be opened or closed freely on one side. An intermediate laminated plate herein used is sandwiched by adjacent laminated plates from both sides when closed and the pattern boards are applied on both surfaces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
