PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ridging capable of raising healthy plants, maintaining the posture of a plant stem and leaf part in a stable condition through at the time of raising seedling and after transplantation without giving a plant root system growth stress damage by bed soil, and as a result of this, preventing lodging of plants and curve of hypocotyl. SOLUTION: The ridging is formed by a structure having a soil covering layer on a bed soil layer. The bed soil layer is in a nonsolidifying condition and the soil covering layer is in a solidifying condition. A plant with ridging has the ridging formed by a structure having the solidifying soil covering layer in contact with plant hypocotyl on the nonsolidifying bed soil layer in contact with a plant root system, and a plant main body.
