Condition monitoring system is base upon a fuzzy logic process to determine the wear of components and plant

The condition monitoring of a technical system uses a network [1] of fuzzy logic controllers [2] that each operate to a set of linguistic rules. The input data [5,6] fed to the network is pre-processed [3], eg standardised, validated, to define the range. The network outputs are fed to a logic unit [7] that has modules to determine the wear rates of components and the system and remaining use period.
