Fuel injector especially for IC engine has profiled grooves in the sealing face of the valve to produce controlled fuel spray patterns

An improved design of fuel injector, especially for an IC engine, has the rear sealing face of the conical valve element (4, 5) provided with profiled grooves (14) which generate controlled fuel spray patterns. At least two grooves are provided for each valve element, with controlled shape and depth. The edges of the grooves form breaker profiles to generate turbulence.
