PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a break-preventing mechanism having a simple structure which gives a warning in the case when an external force of a specified magnitude is acted from upward on a turning body which is at an extruding position. SOLUTION: In the break-preventing mechanism provided with the turning body 2, turning of the turning body 2 is restricted at a protrusion-limit position where a part of the turning body 2 is contacted with a part of a main body 1 to be hindered from turning beyond the position. In the main body 1 and the turning body 2, protrusion 14, 24 coming into contact to each other are formed at normal protrusion positions just before the protrusion-limit position. In the case when an external force of the specified magnitude directed to the protrusion-limit position is acted on the turning body 2 placed at the normal protrusion position, an elastic deformation is caused in the turning body 2. The elastic deformation on the side of the turning body 2 allows the protrusion 24 of the turning body 2 to get over the protrusion 14 of the main body 1, and the elastic recovery allows the protrusion 24 of the turning body 2 to come into strong contact with a part of the main body 1 to give an impulsive sound.
