PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize picture quality by totally correct the density irregularity of different kinds due to both difference in arcuate curvature ratios in a scanning trajectory of simultaneously scanned light beams and difference in arcuate curvature ratios in the scanning trajectory at the boundary part of repeatedly scanned light beam. SOLUTION: The density difference which is caused by pitch variation in a main scanning direction between simultaneous scanning lines due to BOW which is an arcuate curvature of main scanning lines and BOW difference, and the density difference which is caused by the pitch variation in the main scanning direction of the boundary of repeated scanning lines, are easily and simultaneously corrected despite that the contradictory density differences are generated due to the density difference, thus a deterioration in picture quality due to the density variation is prevented.
