The invention relates to a lighting device (1) that comprises a candle (3) held by a holder (2) and at least one lighting organ (8) of the candle (3) and/or said holder (2), means for capturing and conveying (4) the light radiation emitted by the flame of the candle (3) and/or by the flame (10) used for lighting up the wick (5) of said candle (3), detection means (6) for detecting said light radiation, and a switching circuit (7) for controlling after detection of the light radiation, the activation of the lighting organ (8), said detection means (6) as well as the switching circuit (7) being also connected to a power supply source (9), characterised in that the capturing and conveying means (4) of the light radiation from the flame consist of an optical fibre made of a material that melts together with the candle (3) so that its receiving end is always at an appropriate distance relative to the flame of the wick (5). |
