<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use management system and use management method for electronic equipment, for preventing unauthorized use of electronic equipment by prohibiting the use of the electronic equipment out of a predetermined place. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises an information storage medium, an entrance/exit management device, an information storage medium writing device placed in a room, and electronic equipment mounted with an information storage medium reading device. The information storage medium has a storage means for storing authentication information, and the entrance/exit management device has a means for reading the authentication information from the information storage medium, an authentication processing means for the authentication information, and a means for allowing entrance when the authentication is successful. The information storage medium writing device includes a means for writing use permission information of the electronic equipment to the information storage medium.
