<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To almost perfectly prevent soilings of a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of a photoreceptor drum in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, printer, facsimile, etc.; and to keep satisfactory detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a temperature sensor (51) for detecting the temperature of the photoreceptor drum is disposed in a predetermined area on the periphery of the photoreceptor drum (26) incorporating a heater. In addition, the temperature sensor is covered with a cover member (55) that prevents dust from sticking to the temperature sensor. It is preferable that a cleaning member (56) consisting of an elastic material and coming into slidably contact with the periphery of the photoreceptor drum be disposed on the part of the cover member facing the periphery of the photoreceptor (26). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
