A decoupler (10) includes a short bellows (13) of ten or fewer convolutions (24), an internal liner (14) spaced from the bellows (13) internally and a cover (15) spaced radially outward from the bellows (13) providing an air gap (28, 30) both internally and externally of the bellows (13). The liner (14) has a free-standing downstream end (25) proximate a damper (11) which is captured by a cover (15), inner damper ring (12) and slide ring (16). Two decouplers are mounted in series to accommodate angular, axial and lateral displacement when operably connecting two end pipes (40, 42) and one central pipe (41). |
