Disclosed is a method for controlling a device having multiple operating systems which receives a first user input for selecting at least one application installed to a first operation system among multiple operation systems, receives a second user input for selecting a second operation system where a shortcut icon is displayed to execute an application selected among the multiple operation systems, generates the shortcut icon based on the first user input and the second user input, and displays the generated shortcut icon on the user interface of the second operation system. So, the application can be easily used.
