PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device and a control method for motor drive device, capable of suppressing increase of processing load at calculation for rotor position estimation.SOLUTION: A motor drive device includes a brushless motor 11, a Hall sensor 12, a control part 13, a gate driver 14, and an inverter 15. The brushless motor 11 has a three-phase motor structure, the Hal sensor 12 detects a signal of flux change at an operation of the brushless motor 11, the control part 13 obtains rotor revolution of the brushless motor 11 based on the signal of flux change, calculates a predetermined electric angle even if the rotor revolution is changed, causes the gate driver 14 to output a PWM signal, for switching energization timing for each phase of the brushless motor 11 with the predetermined electric angle, and the inverter 15 supplies a voltage to a stator coil of the brushless motor 11 by sinusoidally changing the voltage, based on the PWM signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
