PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter equipped with a balloon that has a high breaking strength and is suitable for thinning.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 1 includes a tip side shaft 10 extending in an axial direction, and a balloon 20 connected to the tip of the tip side shaft 10. The balloon 20 includes a first layer 21 and a second layer 22 covering an external surface of the first layer 21. The first layer 21 and the second layer 22 include an end part 20A, a tapered part 20D, a center part 20C, a tapered part 20E, and an end part 20B in this order along an axial direction respectively. The first layer 21 and the second layer 22 are fixed to each other at the end part 20A and the end part 20B, and the first layer 21 and the second layer 22 are overlapped with each other at the center part 20C and the tapered parts 20D and 20E without being fixed to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
