Distributing intelligence across networks

Methods and apparatus relating to distribution of intelligence across a network are described. In one embodiment, one or more content processors may be provided at the edge of a computer network (e.g., prior to a point where data is aggregated or routed by the network). Other embodiments are also disclosed.

1. An apparatus comprising:
a client device to issue, via a network, a request for streaming video content data; and the streaming video content data, as provided to the device from a content processor, to be (1) in accordance with attributes associated, at least in part, with quality and size of the streaming content data to be provided to the client device, the attributes being capable of being associated, at least in part, with the request, (2) encrypted, and (3) provided based at least in part upon user authentication information.
