<p>Output signals which have a specified number of pixels and a plurality of color components are rearranged into groups of unit blocks, each of which is constituted of output signal components of the same color. Then, the rearranged image signals are coded in the fixed length in each unit block, and the fixed-length coded image signals are stored in a coding memory. The stored image signals are read out and decoded in the fixed length in each unit block, and then the decoded image signals are reversely rearranged to be restored to the original signals and then to be stored in a frame memory.</p> |
