PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respectively evenly distribute and sends the water to be treated between ramp plates, to prevent the uneven adhesion and deposition of the floc on these ramp plates and to decrease the frequencies of the work to eliminate clogging by providing the water introducing port of a solid-liquid sepn. vessel including plural sheets of the ramp plates with stirring means. SOLUTION: The water to be treated which includes the floc introduced into a vessel body 1 from the water introducing port 24 is stirred by the stirring means 5 in the water introducing port 24 and is approximately evenly distributed between plural sheets of the respective ramp plates 3. The water to be treated which is distributed and fed between the respective ramp plates 3 flows between the ramp plates 3, by which shearing force is acted thereon and the floc in the water to be treated is coarsened. The coarsened floc partly adheres and deposits to the surface of the ramp plates 3 and the water to be treated is evenly distributed between the respective ramp plates 3 and, therefore, the amt. of the adhesion and deposition of the floc to the surfaces of the ramp plates 3 is made approximately uniform with the respective ramp plates 3. The uneven adhesion and deposition of the floc to part of the ramp plates 3 and the consequent early clogging may be prevented.
